WINNIPEG, MB:  The Winnipeg Police Association (WPA) has a long history of supporting the Cops For Kids bike relay team in their efforts to raise money for the Children's Wish Foundation. The 2016 relay team consisted of 16 WPA members who pedaled 1,500 km from Winnipeg to Chicago to raise money to grant two young boys’ wishes and was the 11th year Cops for Kids completed a ride raising money for the Children's Wish Foundation. The 2016 Cops for Kids relay team raised $24,000 bringing the 11-year total to $480,000.

Winnipeg, MB, March 2, 2017: The Winnipeg Police Association is now the presenting partner of the Winnipeg Youth Football Club, a weekly after-school flag football program for youth in Winnipeg’s core area that has taken place each winter for the last four years.

WINNIPEG, MB: Maurice (Moe) Sabourin, President, Winnipeg Police Association (WPA), is pleased to announce proceeds from the 2016 WPA Charity Ball totalling $40,000 have been donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Joining Sabourin for the cheque presentation today were WPA Vice-President, George Van Mackelbergh and, representing the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, Lawrence Prout, President & CEO, and 2017 Champion Child, Logan Quatember.

The Winnipeg Police Association presented a $3,000 donation to the St. Amant Foundation on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. 

Maurice (Moe) Sabourin, President, Winnipeg Police Association (WPA), is pleased to announce the WPA has donated 150 toys to the Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain campaign.

On Sunday, November 6th, 2016 members of the association, off-duty police officers and Cadets volunteered their time to go door to door across the city to find out what is important to the citizens of Winnipeg when it comes to policing.

Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad co-chairs Kirk Van Alstyne and Moe Sabourin present Gary Bernard with National Ride for Dad incentive motorcycle give-away prize. A donated custom build chopper valued at $124,000.

In attendance at the Century of Women in Blue Wine & Cheese was Pauline Pfaff, great granddaughter of Winnipeg's first policewoman, Mary Dunn.
