Winnipeg Police Association

The Winnipeg Police Athletic Association (WPAA) became the Winnipeg Police Association (WPA) March 16, 1972 in advance of the Unicity amalgamation of 1974. At that time, all police associations in the Greater Winnipeg area became members of the newly minted WPA.

RIDE FOR DAD

Ride for Dad

The 11th annual TELUS Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad attracted 1,547 registered riders to set a new record. The previous record of 1,510 riders set in 2017 has finally been surpassed thanks to the dedicated motorcycle community in Manitoba. Proceeds stay in Manitoba for prostate cancer research and education.

The 95th Annual Winnipeg Police Association Charity Ball in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba (CHFM) was another huge success. The WPA Charity Ball is the longest running annual charity function of its kind in North America.
